What We Treat

Choose Your Condition

Knee Rehabilitation

Comprehensive knee rehab for total and partial knee replacements, ACL and meniscus surgery, and chronic knee osteoarthritis. We follow your surgeon's specific protocol and advance you through each phase safely.

Conditions

TKR, PKR, ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair, patellar tendon repair, knee arthroscopy

Goals

Full ROM, quad/hamstring strength, safe ambulation, stair negotiation, return to prior function

Timeline

Typically 8–16 weeks for joint replacement; 4–9 months post ACL reconstruction

Available

In-clinic or in-home sessions. We come to you in the early post-op phase.

Hip Rehabilitation

Post-operative care for total hip replacement, hip resurfacing, and hip fractures. We implement precaution-compliant rehab, restoring safe gait and independence with daily activities.

Conditions

Total hip replacement, hip fracture repair, labral repair, femoral osteotomy, hip arthroscopy

Goals

Independent ambulation, hip precaution compliance, strength restoration, stairs and community mobility

Timeline

8–12 weeks post total hip replacement; longer for complex fracture cases

Available

In-home strongly recommended for early post-surgical phase — no transport needed

Shoulder Rehabilitation

Structured recovery for rotator cuff repair, shoulder replacement, SLAP repair, and Bankart procedures. We restore range of motion, strength, and overhead function progressively and safely.

Conditions

Rotator cuff repair, TSR/RSA, labral repair, Bankart procedure, shoulder arthroscopy

Goals

Pain-free ROM, scapular stability, rotator cuff strength, return to overhead activities

Timeline

12–20 weeks depending on procedure; rotator cuff 3–6 months to full activity

Available

In-clinic or in-home. Sling management and early ROM can be managed at home.

Spine Rehabilitation

Non-surgical and post-operative spine care including lumbar fusion, discectomy, laminectomy, and cervical procedures. Core stabilization, posture re-education, and functional movement restoration.

Conditions

Lumbar fusion, discectomy, laminectomy, cervical fusion, herniated discs, stenosis, scoliosis

Goals

Pain reduction, core stability, posture improvement, return to daily and occupational function

Timeline

6–16 weeks depending on procedure complexity and pre-op baseline

Available

In-home highly recommended. Reduces travel burden during acute recovery phase.

Fracture Rehabilitation

Progressive loading and functional restoration following open reduction internal fixation (ORIF), tibial nailing, and other orthopedic trauma procedures. Bone healing-stage appropriate therapy.

Conditions

ORIF procedures, tibial/femoral fractures, wrist and distal radius fractures, ankle fractures

Goals

Edema control, progressive weight-bearing, strength restoration, gait normalization

Timeline

Bone healing dependent: 6–20 weeks depending on fracture type and surgical approach

Available

In-home during non-weight-bearing or limited mobility phases. Clinic once ambulatory.

Comprehensive Care

Before & After Your Surgery

Pre-Habilitation

Prepare Your Body Before Surgery

Research shows patients who complete pre-operative physical therapy recover faster, have fewer complications, and return to function sooner. We prepare your body and mind for what's ahead.

  • Strengthen muscles around the joint
  • Reduce pre-operative swelling and pain
  • Learn post-op exercises in advance
  • Set clear recovery expectations
  • Improve cardiovascular conditioning
Post-Operative Rehab

Surgeon-Aligned Recovery Protocol

We coordinate directly with your surgical team to ensure every phase of recovery follows the correct protocol. Early mobility, progressive loading, and functional milestones — all on track.

  • Phase-specific progression (acute → functional)
  • Pain and swelling management
  • Gait training and assistive device weaning
  • Scar tissue and mobility work
  • Return-to-activity clearance support
Recovery Roadmap

Typical Knee Replacement Timeline

Every patient is different — but here's what a typical total knee replacement recovery looks like with Roa Rehab.

From Your Therapist

We Follow Your Surgeon's Protocol. Every Time.

Orthopedic rehabilitation only works when the physical therapist and surgeon are on the same page. At Roa Rehab, we communicate proactively with your surgical team, respect weight-bearing restrictions, and never rush a patient through a phase before they're ready.

Our goal isn't just recovery — it's restoring the function and confidence you had before the injury, or better.
